WINTER IN BAVARIA

SCHÖNRAMER FILZ
My favourite ice skating lake Schönramer Filz.
This was my first time ice skating on a lake and it was so beautiful, the sun was shining and there were so many families enjoying one of the first ice skating days of the year.Toms dad skating like a pro.
Tom doing some showing off for me...Sticking out of the ice were old branches and tree stumps, which made skating more of a challenge but heaps of fun.
Most people with small children bring a wooden sled to the lakes for the little kids to sit on and be pulled along by there parents. There also great to sit on to put on your skates. At the far end of the lake there were little paths of ice winding there way through the long islands of trees. An amazing sight.Tree roots through the ice.
Bubles in the ice.
