PARIS

17/7/08
We started the day with a traditional baguette, coffee and croissant breakfast.
After breakfast we road into town down the Avenue Des Champs Elysees past all of the designer boutique's, D&G, YXL etc.....
Then onto the Louvre.....were despite the large amount of tourist the ques were quick contrary to what every one has told me....
Me riding to the Louvre
Busy Escalators in the LouvreSculpture Room
Nike the Goddess of Victory and Strength .... her wings were the inspiration behind the design of the Nike 's famous swoosh logo. The very popular and very small Monalisa.
Napoleon III Apartments the Grand Dining Room within the Louvre
Wealthy dinners in a Cafe at the base of the Louvre.

The best way to see Paris is definitely by bicycle, as long as you have some form of coordination to avoid all of the tourists.
We found a lovely little area of Paris St-Germain filled with Art galleries and coffee shops, we had lunch here, baguette of course and coffee and cake.

After a late lunch we climbed the Effiel Tower, took lots of photos and waited for 4 hours for the sun to go down.
Paris from above.......
