TUSCANY

7/8/08
After spending the last couple of days looking for a nice B&B in Tuscany we finally found one in the picturesque town of Chianti.
Palazzo Squarcialupi albergo
Located in the middle of the little village of Castellina is a recently renovated 14th century B&B/Hotel and was the perfect Tuscan experience.
Our very large room overlooked the beautiful cobbled main street and the relaxing terrace on the opposite side of the building had an amazing view of the rolling Tuscan hill side, complete with grape vines and olive trees.
After many hot nights in the back of the car on a single mattress one night of luxury was exactly what we needed to refuel for the rest of our trip.

Our heavy brass room key...
Our large bedroom with air conditioning!Tom having a continental breakfast Tuscan style.Relaxing by the pool....In the basement of the building there was a brand new multi million dollar wellness center, saunas, Turkish steam bathes, special jet showers and relaxing day beds. Tom and I had the whole place to our selves and after a few laps of the facilities tom and I fell asleep on the day beds only to wake up 2hrs latter with drool running down my face ahhhh so relaxing.

SIENA

6/8/08
Siena was not on our travel plans but we were very happy we found this beautiful city.
At night we walked around the romantically lit streets and stoped for dinner in the city center, which we would not advise, just to sit at the tables in the square there was a €3 per person charge and €15 euro for a 1 liter jug of coke.....crazy.
Siena also had some great but expensive shopping, which I managed to restrain my self from.
