CROATIA
Our next adventure was to the Island of Rab in Croatia with 9 of Toms friends.We left very early in the morning driving through Austria and Slovenia arriving in Croatia in time for sunrise. From Croatia we caught a ferry to Rab.
There was a little disappointment from fellow travelers on seeing the accommodation that had been booked for the week, 3 very basic villas in a shabby looking holiday village, but after a few hours relaxing and swimming in the beautiful clear blue water all was forgotten.
We spent our week, swimming, snorkeling, drinking, eating, practicing slack line(tight rope) and exploring the town of Rab.
I was so relaxed I neglected to take many photos....naughtynaughty...

Relaxing at a cool cafe in town....with very cheap cocktails.The food and drinks were fantastic in Croatia and so cheap. The drink of choice for the girls was a Misch Mash, Fanta and Red Wine, sounds terrible but it's fantastic especially on a hot day.
I got the opportunity to try my first Spanferkel(German for pig on the spit) and it was so good very moist, some of the best pork I have ever eaten.
Another delicious dish was the grilled baby Squid with Mangold(a type of spinach) and potato, highly recommended.

The boat trip that didn't quite happen. After hiring a boat from a local doctor we headed out for an island adventure.After stopping to snorkel in our first bay we continued on our journey only to have the motor die...we had to slowly put put our way to the next bay that was full of nudist on boats, we manage to fined a lovely German family who offered to tow us back to our holiday resort, very lucky....
The guys went back to the man who hired us the boat to try and an get our money back after much debate and getting called the German Mafia the man refunded most of the money.....

The very classy game of Pfennig Scheißen: You put a coin between your bum cheeks walk backwards and try and drop it into a glass....for some reason the girls were the best at this game! Very Funny!!!

The landscape in Croatia is very dramatic, I would defiantly love to come back to Croatia to see more of the country.
