We had not planed to visit Bologna but stoped there on the way through to Lago Maggiore.
Bologna is home to over 400,000 people. It is well known as a university town with old buildings and impressive cuisine.
This is definitely a town I would like to come back to and spend some more time as we only had a few hours here.
I was a little shocked by this fountain and had to stop for a double take....It's not every day you see women squirting water out of there nipples.
Next stop Lago Maggiore, another place I would love to visit again. Beautiful scenery, romantic, lots to see and do and the best thing of all was the lack of tourist.
